It’s a small but significant paragraph in the recent report published in January by the Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation.

 Assessing the Economic Impact of the Arts on Health and Healthcare Services in Wales 

“Evidence from another ACW-funded creative mindfulness programme evaluation programme found that decreases in NHS staff absence and attrition after engaging with the saved £79.10 per staff member per month. Using the estimated attendance rate for this programme (33%) and applying it to 10% of the current NHS workforce, could generate up to £3,512,040 per year by reducing NHS staff absence and attrition in 3,700 NHS staff.”
