Megan Broadmeadow works as a Director for Theatr Cynefin.
As a sculpture graduate, she started with the company as an installation artist during the construction of Caerdroia in 2005. Since then she has gone on to perform in and direct productions at the venue, which is close to her home in Glan Conwy.
Alongside working with Theatr Cynefin Megan is a freelance conceptual and performance artist, working on individual and collaborative exhibtions, residencies and performances across Wales and the UK. Such work includes making public sculpture and installations as well as devising and producing comedy cabaret shows, sketches and short films with live art collective Ffaf.
Megan is inspired by comedy and uses humour in her work to address more serious underlying subjects, such as identity and transformation of a culture over time. Her work is generally site specific and inspired by the objects, history, places and characters associated with the area in which her work is located.
