Caerdroia are permanent or temporary Labyrinths created in the natural environment. They are built and maintained with the local community and become venues for Sensory Labyrinth Theatre performances.
The first of its kind, created as a performance venue, was built in the Gwydyr Forest near Llanrwst, North Wales with Community Development Organization Golygfa Gwydyr, and at a mile long is the largest labyrinth of its kind in the world. It has hosted 5 professional sensory labyrinth theatre performances to date and 5 training events.
Theatr Cynefin also uses these sites for its training ‘Rites of Passage,’ providing income to the hosting organizations.
